You will be picked up from your accommodation in Chiang Mai at approximately 7:30 – 8:00am and drive for roughly one and a half hours to the elephant park located at Doi Inthanon National Park. You will stop at a local market on the way where you can indulge in a local breakfast or pick up a Thai tea to fuel your day. On arrival you will be greeted by members of the local Karen Hill Tribe, who will give you traditional clothes to wear. You will also be provided with fruit and vegetables to feed the elephants, if they are hungry.  Your guide will educate you on each of the elephants, the history of the park and the ethical landscape. Then you will embark into the jungle for a shaded walk in the elephants’ habitat. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to walk through the jungle, observe the elephants in their home, and offer them snacks to munch on. Later on, you will have the chance to walk with the elephants down to the river where you can swim alongside them as you both cool off during the afternoon heat.

After saying your goodbyes to your new elephant friends, you will be treated to another freshly prepared, local lunch before setting off on a short hike to Rak Jung waterfall. Your trip concludes with a rafting adventure where you will be guided down the river on a bamboo raft, before being returned to your accommodation in Chiang Mai at approximately 5:30 pm.

Throughout the tour your guide will take high quality photographs, which will be shared for free, so that you can fully focus on enjoying your experience.
